Months ago, I conceived of a way to explain death and hell, and I put it on the shelf, thinking it was good but not reality. Then, as I read a book entitled "A Course in Miracles" I had to re-look at what I had written down, because what I wrote was exactly what Jesus taught in the book, which I would recommend every one read. You can read it at http://courseinmiracles.com/chapter-1/miracle-principles-1-14/.
Here is the basic idea:
God created my spirit body out of intelligence. And the intelligence in me creates the fear of not having been created. The book Course in Miracles goes on to explain this principle along with the fact that believing you created yourself is pride and it leads to insanity, because there is no possible way you could have created yourself. I would like to add that you see this conflict in science, where some believe the universe has a creator, and others believe it was self created.
Before I was created spiritually, I had no joy of being a spirit daughter, so I knew no fear. After God created my sprirt, I knew joy and therefore became afraid of the lower order of darkness, where I used to reside. I must have overcome that because now I am here with a physical body.
My physical body was created out of the dust. It too, becomes afraid of death, the lower order in which it used to reside. Note that our bodies were made out of dust, which is non-biological. This is creation, and only God has the authority to take something non biological and make something living with it. Trying to do this on your own is not only impossible, but can be called magic/witchcraft. (Note that Jesus Himself would not take stones and turn them into bread, He would not take something non-biological and make it into something alive, such as wheat. God is the one who does this).
Now that I have a physical body, I have the fear of physical death. Jesus Christ overcame the fear of death, so that all who believe in Him will not die, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).
Knowing that I can not create myself (whether spiritually or physically, it is the same principle either way), leads to the understanding of "SHAME". Having been created, I now know the shame of not having been created, something I would not have known had I not been created.
God needed to give us TIME to repent. We needed TIME to get over our SHAME of not having created ourselves. In other words, it takes time to perfectly trust in God as our Creator, who deserves our awe and worship.
In the book, "Course in Miracles," Jesus teaches that the only thing we should pray for is to Think and Do God's will. If we only think thoughts that are God's will, we will only think thoughts that bring us life and joy. If we fall from the grace and start to fear; we can pray for forgiveness and relief from the conditions that lead to fear, and let the atonement bring us back to grace, which is back into a relationship with God.
I would like to take this concept a step further. After feeling SHAME for not having created myself, instead of worshipping God, there is a great temptation to instead want what God has, which is the ability to create myself: this is pride.
Now we see the insane situation that Satan puts upon himself. God explains in Moses 4:3, "Satan rebelled...and sought...that I should give unto him mine own power." God will never give Satan the power to create himself, that would be impossible because he has already been created.
It is interesting to note that Satan also wants to take away agency. It makes sense that Satan wouldn't want agency, because he uses his agency to deny God, thereby denying himself a relationship with his Creator. Therefore, in his view, it would be merciful for God to take away agency, because Satan himself misuses it. But God will not do this because if God destroyed His own creation He would cease to be a God of Life. Hence, the opposition continues.
Note that anyone can repent at anytime if they will allow Jesus to heal and succor them from all their fears, having overcome these fears himself. He has the total authority to say that our fears are not real but simple misuses of our ability to create; i.e. misuses of our agency.
Jesus Christ overcame all fear of death and hell. But we still have our agency to believe in it if we want because we have the ability to create/imagine things. Believing in them does not make it real, but we think it is real because you believe what you create, even if it is not true. By repentance, we can come out of the darkness in our minds and back into the light of salvation and freedom.
All evil and rudeness and shame isn't a result of others treating us badly, it is the result of fearing like we don't deserve to be loved and created by God in the first place. Even pain stems from a fear of death. Jesus overcame these things. When you understand this principle, you will stop projecting your fears on other people and you will stop exploiting others. Instead you will love them as fellow creations of The Creator, as Jesus loves us. You will stop blaming others for your problems, because no one has the power to hurt you. It will be easy to forgive others when you recognize that no one can hurt you. The only thing that can hurt you is your own unbelief.
When you try to hurt someone, you are projecting your unreality onto that person. That person still has their choice to give in to your unreality or not. You do not have power to hurt another soul. You are not bad ever. You are good always in God's sight, even if you think you have done horrible things. You do not have the ability to do hurt someone; but because of your agency and creative abilities; you are allowed to believe that you do, and stay stuck in the bondage of your unbelief. God is waiting for you to stop trying to hurt people (a useless endeavor) and recognize your own worth and goodness in His eyes.
I imagine every person God creates needs time to overcome their fear of not being loved enough to be created in the first place. God knew that we would project the fear of death onto others and try to kill them (also a useless endeavor, no one dies unless it is God's will, but again, He allows you to think what you want). That is WHY we have a time of probation. We are not here to feel guilty and believe that we are bad. We are here to grow in love and the understanding that we are good. If you don't believe you are fundamentally good, this is where Jesus Christ can really help you if you will take the time to get to know Him. He is in your mind, and He is telling you the truth that you are good. It may take practice listening to His voice if you have developed incorrect patterns of thinking. But with God, nothing is impossible, and He can restore brain circuitry very fast if you ask sincerely and in faith.
When Adam and Eve took of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they became aware of their existence, and therefore became ashamed, having known that they had at one time not existed. But, they eventually found the love of God, and recognized that the purpose of being created is to have a joyful relationship with God; and if we want, continue God's work of creation ourselves.
Hell exists from the time we are conceived until we are "born again" into an eternal acceptance of our Creator. Death and Hell will open up just like a womb opens during birth to deliver up the baby from darkness into the reality of light. It may seem that death and hell is swallowing us the most right as we determine to worship truth. After we are born again, Satan, death, and hell, go back into the lower orders of reality as a sea of darkness from which more spirit children can be born. Once we have perfect trust in our God and our relationship to Him, we will be born again, having been baptized by immersion in the living water: the fountain of life: the truth of our existence. We will receive God's Holy Spirit as we recognize and pledge to serve truth which is God's will, and we will finally have everlasting peace.
